A friend of mine and her little daughter met myself and my daughter at Mattheissen State Park, in Utica, IL.  We met for a playdate and had a picnic down there.  We started walking on the trail, C-my daughter, saw a HUGE water puddle at the bottom of a hill, mind you this was about an .8th of a mile in walking-if that, and she started running towards it…oh I forgot to mention the path was pretty muddy…..so as she was running towards it she slipped in the mudd and went FACE first into the mud puddle.  She looked up at me and just started crying because she was COVERED in mudd!  I quickly looked to see if she was ok, no bleeding, no damage, she was fine, so I snapped a picture.  Hey you would’ve too!  She was COVERED, hair, face, ears, hands, feet, legs, EVERYWHERE.  I went to help her up and I ended up getting my foot stuck in the mudd, so I was covered in it too.  We walked back up to the parking lot and thank goodness there were bathrooms and a water spick-it.  So I washed her clothes off and her.  I tried washing my feet off and my flip-flops and the girls ended up taking them and started playing in the water washing them off.  They thought the water spick-it was the COOOOOOLEST thing ever!!  The HUGE BELLY LAUGHS we got from them washing my flip-flop and watching the water come out and getting it in their face was PRICELESS!  Falling in the mudd took a whole 3 seconds and in return we got 10 minutes of TWO EXTREMELY happy, beautiful girls.  It was SOO worth the mudd!

  • Aimee Price - This is precious!!!

“I’m trying to learn that not every picture is going to be in PERFECT focus,

the idea in my head isn’t going to the the EXACT way I want it reality,

there’s going to be things in the picture I DON’T want there,

or I’m going to think I look RIDICULOUS.

but it’s the moment that’s captured that matters the most.”

  • Aimee Price - You two are Absolutely GORGEOUS!!! & I cannot believe how big C is!

I took pictures of my BEAUTIFUL cousin and her husband last weekend.  She’s 8 months pregnant and glowing like crazy!  I went down to Macomb, where they live, to take them.  We walked around the town and found some neat allies and then we went to a park as you’re coming into town and found an AWESOME field of little white flowers.  I can’t wait to take their little boy, Guylan’s [they came up with the name], newborn pictures in June!!

I took pictures of this little guy the other day, he was about 2 weeks old.  He was the sweetest little thing.  He LOVED laying in the basket with the soft rug.  I didn’t want to move him from there, hey who would?  He was SO good!  He didn’t cry until the end.  I LOVED his hair, it’s all spikey!  TOO CUTE!  His mom did a GREAT job decorating their home, there were SO many AWESOME places to take pictures.
